Nuori Näyttämö -hanke muualla maailmassa

The Nuori Näyttämö project is based on the Connections scheme launched by the National Theatre in England in 1995.  Over the past two decades, the program has, each year, encouraged ten first-rate playwrights to create new short plays for young people, resulting in hundreds of performances all over England at both local and national theatre festivals.

Norway’s National Theatre initiated their project, Den Unga Scenen, in 2003 and has continued to implement it every second year since.

In 2010, Sweden’s National Touring Theatre (Riksteatern) undertook a similar project, called Länk, together with provincial theaters.
